眼见为实
●我们的生活离不开眼睛，因此see和look与我们形影不离，这两个词虽然都表示看，却有很大差别。see表示看到，look表示看。前者表示动作的结果，后者传达了动作的过程。比如，我环视四周，一个人也没看到“I looked around but saw nobody.”。与此相关，see还可以表示“目击”、“参观，游览”、“会见，探望”。
●除了“看到”这个离不开眼睛的含义，更深一层用see还可以表达“领会，了解；感受”，即用头脑去观察，用心去体会。比如，我不明白“I can’t see”；你理解我的意思了吗？“Do you see what I mean？”
●遇到事情，我们经常会说“考虑考虑”，正好用see来表达“I’ll see”或“Let me see”。日常打招呼，与人分手时，说一声“See you later.”再见，回头见。如果是一段时间内不会见面，这样的分别就需要你为客人送行了“see off”。
