“get”的用法随着我们一天的开始而开始。
●早晨醒来起床是“get up”，当洗漱时，男士需要“get shaved”，刮胡子。接下来做早餐用“get breakfast”，不管是中式还是西式，都应该保证基本的营养，所以吃两个鸡蛋，喝杯牛奶是必不可少的，“get two eggs for you, and get milk”。你再多吃几口用“get more bites”，上午见客户是“get people to see”。因此，出门之前“get off”，别忘了要穿戴得体“get dressed”。进了地铁站，快走几步，赶上正在进站的那趟车是“get the subway”。
●到了工作场所，首先需要了解一下工作进展情况用“get along”。查看电子邮箱是“get to check e-mail”，客户是否“get your answer”，回复你。遇到问题，你是回避“get around the problem”，还是积极应对“get down to it”。最关键的是，你需要把自己的看法向领导讲清楚“get your ideas across”。由于不了解你的想法，有时挨骂“get a scolding”在所难免。下班后直接回家是“get home”，如果有应酬或者约好了要跟朋友聚一聚是“get together for a drink”。
●终于可以上床睡觉了。虽然，去睡觉要用“go to bed”，但是睡着还是要用“get to sleep”。
●尽管明天仍有千头万绪的事情要做，但要相信，事情总会好转“get better”。
